"When I turned 40 and as my two sons were becoming more active in sports, I decided I would try to get in better shape to become more active with my family. I began working out at a local gym and took up running. After 2 months of training on my own I found that my interest began to deteriorate and my improvements were minimal. In an effort to renew my commitment, I decided to try training at KPT (Kenosha Personal Training).

Since my time like so many others is limited by family and work commitments, my intention from the start was to minimize my time at the gym while still achieving my goals. I must admit that after years of inactivity and weight gain I was concerned that working with a personal trainer would subject me to a workout intensity beyond my means not too mention an additional expense I could do without.

My trainer listened to my goals from the first workout and adapted my workout to my fitness level. Her enthusiasm and creativity motivates me to continue when my interest begins to wander. She has taught me methods of training and diet tips which have kept me essentially injury free and on a steadily improving fitness level over the last year that I would have never achieved on my own.

I have developed a need for exercise and healthy eating that I cannot explain but greatly appreciate. She has allowed me to maintain a minimal work-out schedule which allows me the time to get involved with more family activities while still achieving my fitness goals. As a result of my training, I have more energy than I have had in years allowing me to an active participant in sports activities with my family rather than being a spectator.

As far as the expense, I cannot put a price on the value of my good health and commitment to exercise not to mention my success. I know now better than ever that I don't "just know" how to train, I had to be taught. With my trainer's assistance and perseverance over the last 12 months I have found more time for family activities, increased my running endurance, decreased body fat, and continue to make improvements during every training session.
